#15 Digital election?
Not only since the Corona crisis have people wanted trustworthy information - especially from their immediate sphere of life. Due to rapidly changing usage behavior, this content must increasingly be made available in modern digital communication media and remain accessible there for as long as possible. The public service mission must also be "digitally visible and audible" in the sense of comprehensive, objective and high-quality reporting. In 2020, for example, ORF Vorarlberg broadcast all the discussions in the municipal elections not only live on the radio, but also online in live video streams. On election day, the homepage vorarlberg.ORF.at recorded almost two million hits. Facebook reached around 40,000 people. There is no way around expanding the digital transformation of program content; on the contrary, the dirt road must quickly be turned into a highway.
