The Czech Republic is the youngest of the now 15 members of the "A European Perspective" project. 

Petr Dvořák, General Director of Ceská Televize, said: "Joining 'A European Perspective' helps preserve our independence by sharing trusted news from public service media, and it is an opportunity for citizens across Europe to discover our journalism."

What is "A European Perspective?"
"A European Perspective" collects and translates news from participating European public service newsrooms. Each participating organization makes its contributions available via a Digital News Hub, where they are translated into multiple languages. Editors can select and publish the stories most relevant to their audience - offering multiple perspectives on a single news story. In this way, the public gains access to news from different countries - this should lead out of the "news bubble" and promote media literacy.

RIPE, the most important academic conference on public service media, met in Vienna in 2022 and provided a forum to address diverse aspects of the media quality discourse from the perspective of diverse European research institutions. ORF is required by law to provide comprehensive quality control. In addition to the Public Value Report and the Annual Report, this consists primarily of elements created with the help of scientific expertise: The „Audience Panels”, during which the audience‘s opinion on various program pillars is explored, are evaluated by a social science institute. The representative survey on program appreciation, among other things, is conducted by social scientists, as is the testing of the quality profiles - the self-commitments of ORF editors to various program genres. [more]

The Public Value annual study "Digital Transformation - From Broadcaster to Quality Network" analyzes current framework conditions and requirements that influence the distinguishable quality of public service media production.
