Frankreich: Drei Frauen an der Spitze des öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunks

Mit Delphine Ernotte, Sybile Veil und Marie-Christine Saragosse leiten drei Frauen den öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunk in Frankreich, welcher sich aus "France Télévisions", dem öffentlich-rechtlichen Fernsehen des Landes, "Radio France" dem öffentlich-rechtlichen Hörfunk und dem französischen Auslandsrundfunk "France Médias Monde" zusammensetzt.

Während Delphine Ernotte bereits seit August 2015 "France Télévisions" leitet, wurde am 12. April Sybile Veil als Intendantin des öffentlich-rechtliches Hörfunks gewählt und am 18. April wurde Marie-Christine Saragosse von der französischen Rundfunkbehörde Conseil Supérieur de l'Audiovisuel (CSA) erneut für fünf Jahre an die Spitze des französischen Auslandsrundfunks bestellt.

Frankreichs Präsident Emmanuel Macron hat im Wahlkampf betont den öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunk stärken zu wollen, aber auch effizienter gestalten zu wollen. Er hatte von der Idee gesprochen eine "Art französische BBC" zu schaffen und die drei bereits genannten öffentlich-rechtlichen Institutionen Fernsehen, Hörfunk und Auslandsrundfunk zu einer gemeinsamen Rundfunkholding zusammen zu führen, da diese seit Jahrzehnten unabhängig voneinander arbeiten. Die Proteste gegen eine Zusammenlegung waren jedoch groß. Mit Spannung wurde die Erklärung von Kulturministerin Francoise Nyssen erwartet, welche sagte, man wolle sich zunächst auf die Modernisierung der Angebote konzentrieren.
