ORF Radio Director Ingrid Thurnher Ingrid Thurnher began working for ORF in 1985.
From 1986 to 1991, she was employed as an editor at the Lower Austria regional studio in the current affairs department. She also hosted "Land und Leute," "Österreich-Bild," "Österreich heute" and "Niederösterreich heute," as well as all current affairs radio formats. From 1991 to 1994, the Bludenz native worked as editor of the radio domestic policy and as presenter of the Ö1 journals, before she switched to "ZIB 2" and presented it from 1995 to 2007.
From April 2007 to March 2008, Thurnher was part of the team of presenters of "Zeit im Bild" at 7:30 pm. From March 2008 to the end of 2016, Thurnher presented "IM ZENTRUM" and the "Round Table."
On the occasion of the 2013 National Council election and the 2016 federal presidential election, she also directed the ORF TV confrontations with the TV duels. From 2009 to 2011, Ingrid Thurnher also acted as host of the ORF "Summer Talks".
As of January 2017, she was editor-in-chief of ORF III.
