32 - How does ORF promote Austrian talents?

"The program mandate for art, culture and science goes beyond fulfilling the information mandate. A contribution must be made to cultural events by taking into account and promoting domestic artistic and creative production. In the areas of film art, the visual arts, literature and music, particular attention must be paid to contemporary Austrian creativity. As a commissioner and often first publisher of artistic works and scientific findings, ORF should make a contribution to cultural events," according to the ORF program guidelines. The promotion of creative production takes many forms, for example by commissioning the film industry to create series or feature films, but also by making new talents known in the various ORF programs. Direct stimulation of creativity, intellectual value creation, sometimes also community spirit and social participation, also takes place through the organization of competitions.
