EBU: »Quality programming needs proper funding«

"Independence is crucial and money matters": According to the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), a recent study reveals that in countries with high levels of funding for public service media, there tends to be more press freedom.

In Poland, Romania, Hungary, Croatia and Greece, lack of funding and political support have recently had a massive impact on the countries' respective public service broadcasters as well as the entire media landscape.
