3sat" and "
Arte" are European public service media that were created as a cooperation between various national broadcasters. "Watching television differently" has been the motto of 3sat since it was founded by the public media of the German-speaking countries, ARD, ZDF SRG SSR and ORF. ORF is also an associate member of "Arte", which was founded by a treaty between France and (West) Germany in 1990. In addition, the ORF supplies programs to the channel "
ARD alpha". These European cooperations are mainly managed by the ORF cultural channels team; Lilian Moschen, the presenter of 3sat's "
Kulturzeit", comes from the cultural TV sector.
